Staff Picks | José

José has just the wines for everyone’s holiday feast!

José recommends the 2018 ‘Moussamoussettes’ Pet Nat Rosé from Agnes and René Mosse in Anjou and Domaine des Rouges-Queues 2017 Maranges ‘Vigne Blanche’ from the Côte de Beaune of Burgundy.

⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Moussamoussettes is a happy wine, a wine that makes it easy to drink the whole bottle. A captivating sparkling rosé made from a blend of Grolleau Gris and Gamay, this wine is gently sparkling with framboise, cherry and rhubarb; it is fresh and lively in the mouth, and is perfect for Thanksgiving.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Maranges was formerly a source of blending wine for Côtes du Beaune Village wines. Granted AOC status in 1988, Maranges now produces affordable Burgundy of great character. Domaine des Rouges-Queues is a biodynamic producer that makes honest wines with finesse, transparency, and freshness. The Maranges Vignes Blanches exudes ripe cherry, five spice, earthiness, and a long, mineral finish. Perfect company for the Thanksgiving table.

At Vino Carta, there are over 600 wines to choose from and helpful, knowledgeable staff ready to assist in finding your best holiday wine provisions.
